Should You Use FBA for eBay?

Should you use FBA for eBay?

Should You Use FBA for eBay?

The short answer is NO!! Here's why:

Delayed Fulfillment Times

It's no secrete that Amazon will prioritize the service of it's own customers and off-put the service of those who are not. This means fulfillment times on FBA multichannel fulfillment. These fulfillment delays can last anywhere from 2-7 days based on experience and industry interviews. We don't think your eBay customers will be too happy when an expected 2-3 day delivery turns into a 5-7 day delivery...

Top-Rated Seller

Use FBA for eBay

eBay is able to detect that orders are being fulfilled via FBA. Additionally, eBay has a new standard that requires a high percentile of timely tracking uploads in order to become or maintain a Top-Rated Seller. FBA Multichannel Fulfillment is very slow with providing tracking information which will very likely result in you being unable to meet eBay's tracking upload time frames.

Increased Costs

FBA Multichannel Fulfillment comes at a premium and is likely going to be more expensive than fulfilling out of your own warehouse or a 3PL. Here are the recent FBA Multichannel Fulfillment fee structures:

Long-Term Success

If you want to build a successful multichannel business, you will not be able to do it by leveraging FBA multichannel fulfillment. You will need to invest in the configuration of your own warehouse or a 3PL (3rd Party Logistics company). Check our Resources page for recommended 3PLs and multichannel listing tools.
